People value decision making as a courageous act. Do you always succeed in making right choices? It is easy to criticize or make fun of others on their decisions, but if someone ask you to make a major decision; you may find it difficult.

involve in making decisions on project budgeting, hiring resources, business deals or negotiations, litigation, designs and strategies etc. In many projects, it is common that few people disagree to decisions made by project managers. If anything goes wrong, they blame the project managers. However, a good leader always has the courage to take tough decisions. It happens often you may find all the available choices as worthless for project success. In such situations, it is the courage of the project manager or leader to make decisions that judge victory of the project.
Sometimes, things do not work the desired way even though you have good decisions in hand. While dealing with complex decisions in project, it is impossible to cover each contingency. There are things which are impossible to predict. Hence don’t waste |

time on considering every possibility. When a project fails, don’t think it happened only because of the wrong decisions made by the project manager or leader. It might have happened due to things which are beyond human control. However in many organizations, people blame decision makers for things which are unknown to them. Courageous decision makers are more open to failures than people who try to make safe choices.
Project managers are responsible for the success or failure of projects. It doesn’t mean that you can always blame them for whatever things that go wrong in the project. Instead, try to understand what went wrong and gather information collectively to make a better decision. |
